Engineering Health Care Delivery: Tools for Enhancing Productivity and Safety
Iranian medicine is well developed in clinical terms, providing patients with some of the most advanced treatments available in the region. However, there is ample room to improve the productivity and safety of the health care delivery processes. This seminar introduces some of the management techniques such as failure analysis, concurrent engineering and quality function deployment, human factors, modeling and simulation, statistical process control, and scheduling, that can enhance the performance of the health care delivery system. Case studies from around the globe will be used to demonstrate the appropriate application of each technique.
